Many of older boats end up in the yards or landfills, where they cause long-term damage to ecosystems, releasing a lot of toxic chemicals and materials into the environment (into air, soil, and water). 


Just a single 26-27 foot boat (cabin cruiser) fiberglass hull may weigh a few thousand pounds or tons of harmful composites.


Recycling fiberglass is possible, but only at facilities with the appropriate and very expensive equipment, which is why many waste management sites and recycling centers don’t recycle fiberglass waste…


Restoration and modernization is one of the ways of recycling older fiberglass boats.
 Purchasing these boats, and converting them to outboards we give them a second life and prevent them from going into landfills.
 CalRecycle calls it REUSE.

Less harm to marine life


Sterndrive to outboard conversion moves propellers higher in the water and relatively to the vessel bottom of the hull. 
This means that with our outboard flotation bracket there are much less chances to hit and harm any marine life like whales and dolphins while the boat is under way.



Ecological benefits of modern outboard motors


Newer models of gas outboard motors are much more eco-friendly: fuel efficient and emission friendly.

Every year we can see many revolutionary types of outboards like electric or hydrogen-powered motors, which will be even more safe for the planet’s waters and air.

Also, modern outboard motors have very efficient noise reducing exhaust systems which significantly decrease the amount of released engine noise, which could disturb marine life, especially marine mammals.


That’s why one of the main advantages of our inboard outboard conversion is a relatively easy and non-expensive outboard motor swap.

Almost all outboard motors today have universal 4 bolt mounting  pattern, which makes it quick and easy to swap it for any other make and model with better and newer technologies, prolonging the life of the vessel almost to unlimited and making boating even safer for the planet.

Boats with inboards and sterndrives do not have this kind of flexibility.
Besides, every engine or outdrive change is an expensive and hard process in the matter of engineering and labor.
